Thabazimbi bushveld is situated in the Limpopo Province and forms part of the world-renowned Waterberg Biosphere.
Thabazimbi, derived from a Tswana word meaning "mountain of iron" refers to the highly lucrative iron ore reef, first discovered in 1919. The town was proclaimed in 1953 and the municipal boundaries include Leeupoort, Northam and Rooibokkraal and has an estimated population of 67 800.
Sun City, is a 1, 1/2 hour drive from Badger Bush Lodge. Pilansberg National Park is next to Sun City, where you can also view the big 5.
